Deletion guidelines €€@€

Deletors are to delete postings basically according to these guidelines.
Users must keep in mind not to write anything that is contrary to the guidelines below.
2channel is a free bulletin board tha refuses no one.
The only thing we ask is that everyone knows the rules and follows them.
Please understand that following these simple rules will create a pleasant environment for everyone.
1. Handling of individuals
Definition
Group 1
@PoliticianEEntertainerEPerson who is a professional in any fieldEConvicted criminal
Class 2
A person whose occupation is related to the interest of the board, who may be held accountable
Literary works OR Creations OR a Person who gains profit through selling or by offering their participation
Interested party of any event that provides some damage to the outside world
Type 3
All others who do not apply to the above two categories

Subject of deletion *
Personal name and mailing address and belongings
Group 1:
Ones that have been disclosed, ones with informational value, and ones with public interests are not to be deleted. The Administrator determines whether the posting will be deleted.
Class 2:
Posting that cannot be verified from outside, or irrelevant tidbits of responsibility, or the event is subject to deletion. Unhidden information such as a disclosed Internet site, nationwide mass media, or information that can be confirmed in the telephone book will not be deleted.
Type 3:
If the purpose of a posting is defamation of a specific individual or an intention to attack someone is obvious from the content of the posting, the posting is subject to deletion.
Telephone number
Basically, telephone numbers are all subject to deletion even when part of the number is hidden, or even if it is a sequence of characters that suggests a phone number. This is because we have no way of verification.
When the number is obviously public, when the user uses a handle capcode, when the content of the posting indicates that the number was disclosed by the owner of the phone number, or when the number can be confirmed on the linked Web site, we consider that the number is disclosed under the responsibility of the user and may not be deleted.
E-mail address
Only when there is a possibility of swindle or a malicious intent to attack others is obvious, or when there is no purpose or explanation offered and is aimed to expose the address to public attention will it be handled as a troll request. The same holds true even if the address is written in the e-mail field. A decision is made based on the contents of the post.
Defamation
Group 1:
It will not be deleted unless it is found necessary to be deleted by the Administrator.
Class 2:
Those that include an event that has public interest and that follows the interest of the board, or a description of fact relevant to the party immediately involved and the victim will not be deleted.
Type 3:
Those containing information that allows an individual to be completely identified will be subject to deletion.
Private life information
Information only of personal matters that have no informative value or private information that cannot be confirmed by a third party will all be subjected to deletion if there is a possibility that it may cause unprofitable consequences for the individual, even if the individual cannot be perfectly identified from that information.

2. Handling of corporation, organization, and public body
What are basically left alone
Corporations and organizations are handled differently depending on the category, but please be aware that they are basically left alone. Within social/event category, criticism/defamation, information disclosed on the Internet, and information with an unknown data source outside the Internet are all left as is. Within other categories, if the information is related to the topic of the bulletin board and expresses concerns objectively, contains information with public interest, or is related to an incident in which that corporation or company gives some kind of influence to the outside, it is left alone. This decision is stricter in academic categories. Public bodies are left alone as long as the information does not violate other deletion criteria and the topic of the bulletin board.
Subject to deletion
Because the confirmation means have not been established, all telephone numbers are subject to deletion, excluding the obviously public numbers. Others that are not subject to be left alone may be deleted. Whether it will be deleted will be considered at the time of request, and a final decision will be made by the Administrator.
Request method
You must provide contact information (e-mail address is accepted) of the department or person responsible. Also, a reason for deletion and identification of the subject to be deleted is also required, just as in normal requests. We recommend sending a deletion request rather than informing us through e-mail or by telephone. On the Deletion Request Board, please enter the request in the proper form and create a new thread. We will consider deleting the posting if the content is explained through telephone or e-mail, but please be sure to submit the deletion request, as described above, beforehand.

3. Regarding fixed handle (within 2 ch)
About attacking
Delete everything excluding the worst board.
Thread
If the fixed handle is in the title, if the fixed handle is occupied, or if it aims for exclusive usage, the thread will all be deleted or moved except on the self-introduction board, the worst board, the dream and soliloquy board, me lobby, or on the anything goes board. However, if the fixed handle individual belongs to Group 1 or Class 2, it will be monitored unless it violates other deletion rules.

‚SDDeletion object by purpose of postings
Thread
Criticisms related to the topic of the bulletin board that are logical and objective will be left. Even when the thread is related to the topic of the bulletin board, it will be subject to deletion if we decide it was created to disturb users' feelings or to ridicule users. It will also be deleted if we decide the thread is about an event or participants of the bulletin board and cannot be developed into a discussion. If the thread is aimed at or engaged in an activity with high loads on the server, such as the broadcasting of TV programs, sports games, or a real?time event, or if it intends to do a large amount of writing, the thread may be subjected to a move. In exclusive boards other than miscellaneous talk-related boards, a thread may be deleted or moved if it matches more than one of the following: no informative value; no intention of serious discussion or argument; placing priority on a troll rather than on a topic of the board; seeking no objective opinions.
Response and remarks
Trolling that interferes with discussions, remarks with the intention of unnecessary discrimination, violent language that offends the third party, exclusive collusion, writing two or more lines of the same content, and remarks about excessive sexual delusions and vulgarity will be subject to deletion.
Discrimination and contempt *
Please post discriminatory opinions about region/race on the human rights board and ideas of contempt on the political ideas board. Others will be subjected to deletion. Including these boards, the posting of a name of a region or last names that intend to discriminate or contempt will become subjected to deletion, whether the content is true or not. Other postings will be watched quietly, presuming they will become discussion material.
Data
For data to which the third party will stand a loss resulting from disclosure of the data, the cases to be deleted are limited. At present, items related to the serial, the cap path, and the management system script are subject to deletion. Other passwords are to be deleted arbitrarily. Displayed host information that is unrelated to the conversation will be arbitrarily deleted. Requests asking for images, music, games, and software are prohibited. If the posting is made knowing that it is violating a rule, or if the same posting is repeated, it will be subject to deletion.
Regional and local related
We ask that threads limited to an area or a region with no informative value to the third person, or those that hold true only within a city, ward, town, village, or smaller area, be posted in the Town BBS. They are subject to deletion within 2channel.

5. Postings different from the subject of the bulletin board / thread
Thread
he purpose of each bulletin board is determined by its category and the name of the bulletin board. Although supplementary local rules are important in deciding whether the posting is on the wrong board. Except for miscellaneous talk-related bulletin boards, threads unrelated to the topic of the board, if there are more suitable bulletin boards available for them, and threads focusing more on events within the bulletin board or on the users instead of the topic of the bulletin board will be moved. If the thread is clearly different from the topic, it will be subject to movement even on miscellaneous talk-related bulletin boards. On other bulletin boards, miscellaneous talk threads are considered for up to two or three threads. If there are many useful responses, the thread may be suspended, but if we decide that there are no useful responses, the thread may be deleted. If the destination is not on the same server, or if a thread will be duplicated by moving it to a new place, the thread will be moved to a garbage board.
Response and remarks
When a posting is far off the topic of the thread, or when it is in such a condition that a discussion or conversation cannot take place, it will be subject to deletion. It will be deleted when we decide that its purpose is to intentionally hinder the thread's operation and growth.

6. Continuous postings and duplication
Constant postings and copy & paste
Constant postings that harm conversations between the users will be subject to deletion. If the contents of postings are different, if we decide that the purpose of the postings is for trolling, they will be deleted. For copy and paste or for postings taken from templates, we will leave them if they are modified. For postings that are exactly the same or modified only partially but with the same content, those different from the topic of the thread and those that aim to make users feel unpleasant will be considered a troll and will be subject to deletion.
ASCII art
If we cannot see the necessity for it, ASCII art will be deleted on all boards other than the face-mark board, the Mona board, the Nida board, the AA long version, the AA salon, and Newbiefsf board. In all bulletin boards, including the above, ASCII art posted one after the other or copy-and-pasted ASCII art will be subject to deletion. On the contrary, unnecessary sentence response on these boards may become subject to deletion.
Duplicated threads
Threads about the same event or person are basically subject to deletion even if there is a slight difference in the two. In that case, the decision is made comprehensively, considering the time the thread was created, the context stated in Item (1) and how much response there is in the thread. If it is hard to make an objective decision, either have the users discuss it or suspend the thread that was created later. A duplicated thread on different bulletin boards is regarded as a malicious multiposting when there is not much difference in the threads, and all will be subject to deletion, except when serious discussion on a topic appropriate for the board is carried out on the thread.
Creating many threads
All threads randomly created will be deleted on all boards except on Newbiefs' board, when there is not much change going on or the thread is meaningless.

‚VDPorn and vulgarity
2channel
@ Extreme sexual postings, sexual trolls, sexual delusions, and vulgarity are prohibited on 2channel. Links to sexual images are also prohibited. They will all be deleted without exception.
PinkBBS
PinkBBS is a separate organization from 2channel. The Administrator is different, and its manner of operation and significance of establishment are also quite different from that of 2channel.

8. The URLs and links
Troll request *
Postings of URL and links for trolls or that aim to cause trouble, that have no objective explanation, or that have no informative value that suits the board's intentions, are subject to deletion. The decision is made according to the context of the posting.
Data and images
Direct and primary indirect links to any data that may have copyright (such as wares, mp3, and ROM) are subject to deletion. Direct and primary indirect links to porn or sexual images will all be deleted. Disgusting images, images of a corpus, and images with ethical problems will be deleted under discretion. In any case, deleting or hiding a part of the URL will not change the decision.
Advertising, traps, and execution links
Links having the clear purpose of advertising or that charge an amount of money through clicks or visits to the site will all be deleted, except those on the advertising bulletin board. Sites containing porn or disgusting contents or sites charging money will all be deleted. Browser crashers, PC crashers (such as concon), and virus (such as *.exe) will all be arbitrary deleted since there is no safe way to confirm them. Trap links, where some action will occur at the linked site, or your host name or IP address will be corrected and left alone.

Notes
Priorities of deletion
The items indicated with * are important deletions subject to high priority. Even when the subject is targeted as a thread treatment, the target part can be treated with a response treatment.
About thread treatment and response treatment
If it is not specified on the deletion subject, treat it as a thread treatment if the deletion subject is stated in Item (1) or if the deletion subject aims to, or intend to induce what is written in Item (1), All other cases are treated as response treatments.
About self-responsibility
In any postings subject to deletion, please note that if the user who posted the message is clearly responsible, it may not be deleted.

This guideline still contains a gray zone and is not yet fixed. At present, if you are still unsure about deleting an item even after reading this, please do not delete it. And please e-mail us and let us know which part you were unsure about and why. We hope be able to consider this with you and make the guideline closer to perfection. If a local rule is stated at the top of the board, conduct the deletion while respecting the rule as much as possible as long as it does not violate the guideline.

@ Notes about deletion request ¢@€

@Deletion requests are basically disclosed. @We accept no deletion requests outside the bulletin boards, such as through mail, telephone, or e-mail. @There are two deletion request bulletin boards. Please use the appropriate one according to the contents of your request. Deletion Request Board (exclusively for important deletion subjects) Deletion Filing Board (normal deletiona) @Please strictly follow the notes on deletion request boards so that deletion tasks may be smoothly carried out. @If the rules are not followed or if the language used in the request is unpleasant, the deletion request may be ignored. @For the three boards??the deletion filing board, the deletion request board, and the deletion discussion board??the host will be displayed for postings other than with the capcode.

šBasic notes
™Read the notes at the entrance of the board carefully.
On the deletion request board, a request must be submitted from a form only, unless there is an exclusive thread. On a deletion filing board, you may write directly to the thread as long as it is written in the same format as the form. However, if there is no thread to request, you must submit a request from the form (a new thread will be created automatically). The form cannot be submitted unless all the required fields are properly filled out.

™Follow the rules when making requests
If we believe the request was made without the contributor having read the FAQ or other notes, the request may not be handled. A deletion decision will not be made for requests when the deletion request and the subject do not match, when a request other than for the deletion subject is made, when bad use of language is evident, when a request for thread deletion is made, and when it is subject to a response deletion.

™Please make it easy for persons making the deletions to understand
When writing a reason for deletion, refer to the deletion guideline or local rules and state it concisely so that it is easy to understand.
When specifying the subject to be deleted, please be sure to state the response number or the thread to avoid misunderstanding.
On a deletion request board that handles important deletions, we do not handle thread deletion requests; thus the specification of a response number is a must.
When the problem is too large to be handled through a regular request, such as when there is a troll action using scripts, or many threads are being created all over the board, please submit a request for part of the larger problem and provide explanation so that those making the deletion will be aware of the incident. If later reported to the criticism request board, the probability of it being read by someone capable of handling it will increase.
In case of local rules, please also state the appropriate part of the rules. Also, when you believe technical knowledge is required to make a decision, it is better to state easy-to-understand descriptions for people handling the request.
When requesting a deletion in duplicate or a multipost, please state where it is derived from, or link it to other requests, or provide an explanation. Especially for a duplicate post, be sure to provide links to the subject of the request.

™If there is a specific place to post the request
If there is a specific request thread for a specific request, most of the time it will be processed faster if the request is posted on that board. Please follow all the rules.
Example: Telephone number, past logs, and multiple postings
The request will not be handled if it does not conform to the specific request the thread is taking.
™You don't know what to do OR there is an error
Please proceed to the "™Questions&Notes" thread, which is linked from the top of the deletion filing board.

šWhen the deletion request is not processed
™Confirmation of request
When declined by the eliminator/deletor, the requested subject may not be specified as a subject to be deleted on the deletion guideline, or something may be wrong with the request. Please carefully verify whether your request is proper, there is no difference between the deletion reason and the subject to be deleted, if there is no mistake in the specified subject to be deleted, and whether the request is not violating the FAQ or deletion guidelines.
™Neglected for more than 2 weeks
If the decision regarding the request was not made for more than 2 weeks by the eliminator/deletor, please inform us through the following method. If this happened on the Deletion Request Board (important deletions), then please e-mail us at the exclusive e-mail address. However, we will not respond to someone with an unknown identity or to a free e-mail address. If this happened on the Deletion Request Board (normal deletions), please report it to the Untreated for Extended Period Report (Untreated for extended period [response request]/ Untreated for extended periods [thread request]). In both cases, the original deletion request thread address is required.

šImportant note
@Hiroyuki, the Administrator, holds the final responsibility for the deletion. Please understand that the Administrator cannot always check the postings subject for deletions, and response may take time. Please be aware that when lawsuit/trial/accusation against 2ch is being prepared, or when a matter is under dispute, or when the topic is about a crime and confirmation with an external party such as the police is necessary, deletion will not take place unless decided on by the Administrator to preserve evidence. The IP address or host information of the user who posted the item subject to deletion cannot be disclosed unless requested by the police or a court. Also, a person who checks the deletion request is an individual eliminator/deletor.For the tasks to be carried out smoothly and for the requests to be treated promptly, your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.

@ @Hints for people deleting ¢@€

@Each deletor must carefully determine "something that must be deleted" and "something that must not be deleted." The authority to delete, if used wrongly, may become a troll to the bulletin board. The deletor (eliminator) is in a position to eshow the direction of the bulletin board just a little bitf eso that the users can pleasantly use the boardsf through deleting. Please do not forget that deletors/eliminators always respect the users and are ready to side with the users.

1. The deletor is a volunteer.
Deletors should not seek for a reward, or brag about their responsibilities.
Please become the unnoticed but reliable operative behind the scenes so that the users may pleasantly use 2channel.

2. Deletors have no responsibilities.
The Administrator Hiroyuki Nishimura is entirely responsible for 2channel.
The Administrator is responsible for the selection and behavior of deletors.
Thus when the deletors behave in a way unintended by the Administrator, the Administrator holds the right to deprive without notification the authority to delete.

3. Deletors have no commitment.
Deletors need not feel committed. You need not pay attention to the days of the week or the time of day.Just participate whenever you are free.
You also need no actively search for subjects to be deleted. Your main task is not searching, but deleting.

4. Deletors should be proud of their actions.
If you decide something is subject for deletion, please be confident and delete it.
In other words, if you are not confident or if you are unsure about a deletion, do not delete it.
Please "let others decide when you are unsure," and "do not delete when you are uncertain."

5. Deletors must not make arbitrary deletions.
Read the deletion guideline thoroughly, and make deletions fairly following the rules.
You must not behave according to your own subjectivity, such as "likes/don't likes," "annoying," or "unpleasant."
Even if it is a board users' consensus, please do not be affected;get rid of your preferences and values.

6. Deletors must be responsible when making comments.
Please remember that deletors represent 2channnel.
You have no responsibility regarding management, but your remarks are respectedto have considerable influence.
Avoid behavior that would lead to losing user trust, such as writing in with a deletorfs handle all the time, or not handling trolls calmly.
You are to use the delete handle when there is a necessity, such as for a deletion report or deletion discussion.

7. Deletors please trust one another.
You are working together for the operation of 2channel. Please try to support one another.

šNotes
E About the deletion report
A report after a deletion is not mandatory, but if you handled requests posted on Delete Request 2 Board, please try to report with a capcode as much as possible. Please be extra careful when you are on the Delete Request Board.
The deletion task may be carried out smoothly, since other deletors will be aware of your activities, and the users awaiting a deletion will also be relieved to know it is in process..

E About local rules
When deleting, you should notice that local rules will be stated at the top of the board. Please determine whether the local rules conform to the deletion guidelines, and follow them for that particular board.

E Please always be cordial and courteous to the server and the system.
When the server is heavy, do not force deletion activity.
If you delete the same thread repeatedly, the server log will accumulate too much and the load on the server will increase. Bookmark the thread that is in the middle of a troll, and delete it after things have settled down.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, especially for the larger threads, since a server's load increases from only data storage.

E When you want to discuss your concerns
If you have questions, please ask them on the miscellaneous thread on the deletion request board, or via the consultation thread on the deletion discussion board. E-mailing the Administrator will not be helpful, since it will take a long time for the Administrator to reply.
However, if the question is in regard to script or ID, please do not ask in disclosed places; send an e-mail.

E Deletors have limitations of deleting authority.
For example, new deletors are only authorized to delete responses, and there are scripts that only a limited number of individuals are authorized to use.
@ First start from those that are definite subjects for deletion, such as copy and paste, and once you are more used to the task, try deleting those that are specified as delete subjects with priority. Even when your deletion authority increases, please proceed with those that are obviously violating the guidelines.
All senior deletors are asked to please follow up on the newer deletors, and always remember the basics.
After a certain period, when management decides you have gained sufficient experience, we will contact you regarding increased deletion authority. Please be aware that if you contact us to gain your own deletion authority, you may be ignored thereafter.
If you are not contacted by management for more than a year, you may have been forgotten by the Administrator. In that case, please e-mail the Administrator.

šOur request to you
E Extracurricular activities for Restorers
We ask restorers for autonomous activity on the deletion request board.
When you receive a reprimand or objection, please receive it as a criticism as long as it is not violating the guidelines and the FAQ, and use them to adjust your activities or deletion criteria.
When you are engaged in activities such as leading or requesting, always remember to be grateful.

@ @Hints for restorers ¢@€

Restoration tasks put a strain on the server unexpectedly. Once you try it, we are sure you will experience how it will take time and that the server is slow. Please be sure to follow the procedures below, and become a restorer who is pleasant to the server.

1. You find a broken board OR a repair request
First, please declare what you will do, such as "I am restoring the XX board" on the repair thread on the criticism request board.
You cannot restore a board other restorers are working on.
When more than one person repairs the same board at the same time, not only will it make restoration take longer, it will increase the load on the server, damaging other boards.

2. About restoring script
How restoration will be done differs, depending on the condition of the server and the time of day. Please refer to the opinions from the server shops.
Please do not do much when there is heavy load on the server.
Boards with many postings are harder to repair. Ignore boards that are broken but on which are still many new postings.

3. When you finish a restoration task
Please report to the repair thread: "I have restored XX board (sage or regular)."
This is not only for the users, but also for other restorers and deletors, informing them about which board on which server is in restoration, or which board is yet to be restored.

4. When other people are working
Avoid restoring a board on the same server, and please work on tasks on other servers.

5. There is a board with more data than displayed thread
Please check the time of day, and if the server is not busy, please restore the board. But don't forget to report.

šOur request to you
E Tasks other than restoration
This is not your duty or your responsibility, but when you have spare time, or have nothing else to do, it will be very helpful if you could take part in the following activities.

E Deletion request / deletion instruction
If you constantly see a particular bulletin board, please submit deletion requests as often as possible when you notice things.
We hope you will do as much as possible on the deletion request board, such as teaching the proper methods to a user who doesn't know how to make a deletion request, or correcting the duplicate or wrong request, or answering user questions.
You can also comment about a report that has been neglected for a long time, or summarize accumulated requests.
Also, you may give opinions or words of warning to other eliminatorsf/deletors' decisions, or discuss with others regarding opinions from users on eliminators/deletors.
A restorer is a volunteer in a position equivalent to the eliminator/deletor.

E About the capcode
You may or may not use the capcode, but it might be better and more effective if you do.

šNotes
E Conversion to eliminators and deletors
After a certain period, we ask some of the applicants to become an eliminator/deletor.
However, not all applicants can necessarily become one.
In the criteria of promotion to an eliminator/deletor, deletion requests and giving instructions about requests are also considered, along with restoration activities to determine the aptitude for deletion.

E If a problem occurs
If there is a person with problematic behaviors or who does not follow the rules, the system may be modified without notification.
Also, if there is a calling on the Deletion Request Board, please e-mail us promptly. Please be aware that you may be deleted from the member list if there is no contact from you for more than a month.

@ @Before submitting a request ¢@¢¢

Before writing to a criticism request board, please be aware of the following.
E If you are not clear about how to use the bulletin board, the words used on the boards, or about any other matter, please read this guide carefully and go through Newbie's board. If the question is still unanswered, then submit the request.

o If there is something wrong with the condition of the bulletin board, please read this with special care.
o Before submitting the request, please search carefully for a thread in similar condition so that your request will not be considered a duplicated thread and deleted. Your request is important to us.
o For trouble regarding the functions of a particular bulletin board or of writing restrictions such as PROXY, please include the following information.
1. Name and version of the Operating System used
2. Name and version of the browser used (please provide related settings also, if you are aware of them)
3. Name of the provider used (If possible, display the host name with fusianasan.
4. Please be specific about "what kind of phenomenon occurred, when you did what, and on which board (or link)."

E For any request regarding a bulletin board, please include the URL of the bulletin board itself and a link to a thread discussing the request.

o Please submit the application for a local rule of the bulletin board only after the rules are set, and in the application please include the rules with HTML tags. Please do not use a lot of <FONT> tags or <TABLE> tags, and please use <A HREF=""> and <BR> tags properly. A link to a specific thread will be rewritten every time the thread is moved, so please do not include a link to a thread that is moved frequently. Also, when the rules are too long, they become difficult to read. Please state the rules as concisely as possible so that the length of the rule is about the same or shorter than the bulletin board menu.

E To create a new bulletin board or to split a bulletin board into separate boards, please read this carefully.

In any case, please write in appropriate language, clearly, and in a simply understood manner. Otherwise, the Administrator may not acknowledge your communication.
